चयन प्रक्रिया

6. SELECTION PROCESS:-

Players who have participated or won medal(s) in the competitions given at Para-4(C) above during the period from 01/01/2024 till 01/11/2026 shall be eligible for recruitment to the post of Constable (GD) (Sportsperson) in ITBPF. Online applications forms and copy of certificates uploaded by the candidates will be scrutinized and if found in order the respective candidates will be issued online admit card to appear in the recruitment process i.e. Documentation, Physical Standard Test (PST), and Detailed Medical Examination by the Nodal Office. Sports Trial Test (qualifying in nature) shall also be conducted for all advertised vacancies in the mentioned sports disciplines. i. Documentation:- Before start of documentation all candidates will undergo verification of identity including Biometric capture. Biometric identification of candidates can also be taken at any stage of recruitment.

a) All candidates reporting for recruitment will have to go through documentation, in which candidates will have to produce all original documents/certificates pertaining to age, education, caste, sports achievement as per Para-4(c)(ii), proof to avail age and height relaxation etc in the prescribed format before the Recruitment Board of Officers including the document already uploaded on ITBPF recruitment website. The original documents (Educational, Sports, Domicile and Caste Certificates etc) of the candidates will be checked by the recruitment board of officers.

b) After scrutiny of the original documents and sports certificate to the satisfaction of the Recruitment Board of officers, the candidates whose documents are found in order will be asked to submit self-attested copies of the documents/sports certificate to the Board of Officers on the spot. Original documents will be returned to the candidate. The Board of Officers will check authenticity and genuineness of the certificates submitted by the candidate, in case of any doubt. However, candidature of all such candidates may be considered provisionally, and he/she may be permitted to continue in the recruitment process.

c) Only those players who have participated or won medal(s) in the competitions given at Para Para-4(c)(ii) above in the past 02 calendar years prior to the year in which the recruitment is scheduled, and till the date of recruitment shall be eligible for recruitment to the post of Constable/GD (Sportsman) in ITBP. Candidates will be given marks for medals won or level of participation during aforementioned time period only.

d) Only the marks of that one higher medal or level of participation in which a candidate is getting maximum marks will be considered.

e) If any candidate has secured more than 1 medal in a particular competition, in that case he/she shall be awarded marks for only the highest medal/position secured in the competition.

f) The minimum qualifying marks will be 10 for all categories i.e. UR/SC/ST/OBC candidates.

g) Candidates who are unable to produce the prescribed certificates/documents will be rejected summarily and candidates who declared qualified in documentation stage will be sent to Physical Standard Test (PST).

h) ITBPF at its discretion can check or verify genuineness of any document/certificate produced by the candidates during recruitment and the decision of ITBPF after such verifications/checking shall be final. Original copy of following documents will be required for verification :-

i) Educational, Sports, Domicile and Caste Certificates etc.

ii) Matriculation or 10th class certificate for verification of Date of Birth.

iii) OBC Certificate as per Annexure-‘III’, Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribes (ST) Certificate as per Annexure-‘IV’ and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) Certificate (valid for the year 2025-2026) as per Annexure-V (if belonging to any of these categories). Certificates obtained in any other format will not be accepted. Candidates claiming OBC status may note that certificate on non creamy layers status as per Annexure-III(A) should have been obtained within three years before the closing date of online application i.e. 01/11/2026.

iv) Candidates seeking reservations as OBC(NCL) shall submit a declaration as Annexure-III(A).

v) Persons serving in Government services applying for the post are required to furnish No Objection Certificate (N.O.C.), as per Annexure-II issued by their employer at the time of physical verification of documents. Candidates who fail to submit No Objection Certificate (N.O.C.) at the time of documentation shall be summarily rejected.

vi) Certificate as per Annexure ‘VI’ for claiming relaxation in height & chest (if applicable).

vii) Domicile Certificate issued by local revenue authorities. In case of West Pakistani Refugees settled in UT of Jammu & Kashmir and UT of Ladakh, they are required to produce Certificate in the format attached as Annexure-‘VI(A)’ issued by the Sarpanch/Numberdar of a candidate’s village to the effect that the person belonged to the West Pakistani Refugees Category, along with a copy of Electoral Roll showing the name of the candidate in the voter list for elections to the Parliamentary Constituency.

viii) Four latest passport size photographs same as submitted with online application form.

II) Physical Standard Test (PST):-

a) Candidates who qualify in documentation will undergo PST as per standards mentioned at Para-4(d) above.

b) Board will measure height, chest and weight in r/o male candidates and height and weight in case of female candidates. Since presence of a female is required at the time of recording of Physical Standard Test (PST) of female candidates, a female non medical staff may be associated with the Recruitment Board by the Nodal Office. In case of a candidate being underweight or overweight as per the weight chart (Annexure-I), the Recruitment Board will categorically mention the actual weight of the candidate and deviation from normal permissible limits in the body weight of the candidate will also be recorded as 'underweight/overweight'. Such overweight/underweight candidates will be allowed to participate in the next stage of recruitment and shall not be debarred at PST stage. Medical Officer will also be present during DME, so the final decision on fitness/unfitness with respect to weight will be decided by the medical officer at the time of DME based on height and weight chart.

c) Candidates seeking relaxation in Height and Chest will be required to submit the certificate as per Annexure-VI regarding their community from concerned District Authorities. In the event of non enclosure of the certificate their claim for relaxation in height and chest shall not be entertained.

d) On reporting of female candidates for Physical Standard Test (PST), a self declaration indicating about her pregnancy status shall be submitted. In case, if she declares that she is not pregnant then she will be allowed to participate in the PST. In case of false declaration, all the risk for undergoing PST will be of her own.

e) If the female candidate declares that she is pregnant before PST, then a confirmatory pregnancy test is to be done and in case she is found to be pregnant, irrespective of duration of pregnancy, she will be declared temporary unfit and her appointment shall be held in abeyance until the confinement is over. The vacancy against which a women candidate was selected will be kept reserved for her. She will be re-examined for PST six weeks after the date of confinement, subject to the production of the medical certificate of fitness from a registered medical practitioner. If she is found fit, she will be appointed to the post kept reserved for and allow the benefit of seniority in accordance with the instructions of the Government, as amended from time to time. In case female candidate is found negative for pregnancy, she will be allowed to participate in the PST. However, female candidates who declared temporary unfit have to appear and qualify PST and DME/RME and has to secure place in final selection list of respective discipline/event.

III) Sports Trial Test:-

a) After successful completion of documentation and PST, candidates will undergo Sports Trial Test of 40 marks, to be conducted by Board of Officers in the Sports event to which He / She belongs. Sports Trial Test will be qualifying in nature. However the minimum cut off marks in Sports Trial Test will be 20 marks. The marks obtained in the Sports Trial Test shall not be considered while preparing the final merit list. Further, the Trial Test shall be exempted for candidates who have represented India as a member of the Indian Squad in any International Sports Event with the clearance of the Department of Youth Affairs & Sports.

b) Candidates who do not secure minimum cut off marks in Sports Trail Test will be eliminated from the recruitment process by giving rejection slip intimating reasons thereof by the Recruitment Board of Officers.

c) Appeal for re-conduct of Trial Test will not be entertained.

5. How to Apply :-

(a) Online application mode will be opened w.e.f. 03rd October, 2026 (03/10/2026) at 00:01 A.M and will be closed on 01st November, 2026 (01/11/2026) at 11:59 P.M on ITBPF recruitment website https://recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in.

(b) Eligible and interested candidates should apply only through ITBPF Recruitment website https://recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in. Candidates are advised to fill the application form after reading the instructions carefully. The application must be submitted ONLINE only. No application will be accepted offline. Candidature of the candidate who submitted application offline will be rejected summarily.

(c) The candidate has to upload copy of certificate or document for sport discipline mentioned at Para-2 above in support of his/her highest medal/position or highest level of participation in the sports achievement mentioned at Para-4(C) on ITBPF recruitment website in their profile created on the https://recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in before applying for the post, else his/her online application will be rejected during scrutiny.

(d) APPLICATION FEE & MODE OF PAYMENT - Male candidates belonging to Unreserved(UR), Other Backward Classes(OBC) and Economically Weaker Section(EWS) category applying for recruitment to the post of Constable(GD) under Sports Quota should pay Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only) as application fee through the ITBPF Recruitment website https://recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in. Application received with any other mode of fee payment will be summarily rejected. Fees are exempted for females and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) category.

Note:-

1) Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

2) Fee paid by modes other than above will not be accepted and the application of such candidate will be rejected forthright and the payment made shall stand forfeited.
